Keeping your heart and brain healthy is EASY
This was an enjoyable and creative project. The team needed new imagery that would effectively match the updated Heartly and Hallie characters I had recently created. To meet this need, I designed four adorable mascots, each representing their own unique healthy habit. The acronym EASY had been utilized for many years, but they were looking for a refresh to keep it engaging and relevant.
Eat fruits and vegetables:
Kids need at least five servings of fruit and vegetables daily, but the older kids get, the more they need to stay healthy and keep growing.
Active for one hour or more:
The more kids move their bodies, the more their hearts pump to power up their brains and muscles with blood and oxygen.
Screens for less than two hours:
Minimizing a child's recreational screen time to less than two hours a day can help them create a healthy relationship with technology. It teaches them to put their heart and brain health first by getting physically active outside of screen time.
Yes to water, and no to sugary drinks:
Half of our bodies (including the heart and brain) is made of water, so kids need to make sure they drink enough to fuel it.
